Questions For Canadians?

By Top University Posted in: University

I’m making a project about education in Canada and I need your help. Please answer these questions:
1.Do you study French at school as an abroad language? 2. Would you like to study abroad after finishing school? 3. Which university, in your opinion, is the best (I mean, in Canada)? 4. Do you have one sex schools in your city? If yes, how much (approximatley)? 5. What do you think about education at YOUR school? And finally, a question I was trying to answer for months: Do you REALLY like those ketchup taste chips you make? I’ve seen such only in Canada, and I still wonder, how that’s even possible to eat them…

    I live in Manitoba.
We took French from kindergarten to grade 12. We studied the Parisian style of french, not the FrancoManitoban spoken by a large segment of our non Quebec population.
Finishing school? Is that like University? If not, not something I’m familiar with.
I like the U of M, but I may be a little biased on that.
Yes, I’m aware of at least 2 girls schools…St. John’s Ravenscourt used to be boys only, but is mixed now, not aware of any boys only academies.
My schools were public schools, underfunded, overworked teachers but they tried.
LOL, they must have Ketchup chips in the USA too…and yeah, I like them, not as much as Onion & Garlic, or Dill Pickle, but they’re okay…used to be my fave when I was a kid…

    1. French is our second language. If you aren’t in Quebec (French speaking province) or in french immersion, you learn French in grade 4, around the age of 9. Then you have to take it up till grade 9 (14/15 years old). And then from there it is your choice to take it or not.
    2. No, I’m going to university in Canada.
    3. Different universities are good for different things. We have prestigious schools in my province. Very popular schools that are known nation wide are University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, McGill, Queens, Simon Fraser, Ottawa, and Western Ontario. In my province (Ontario) the popular universities are UofT, Queens, McMaster, and Western.
    4. I think there aren’t any single gendered schools in my city. I’m 99% sure.
    5. I graduated from high school in June and education wise, my school was good. Very strict in the math and science departments but it’s to benefit us in the future.
    6. Ha, I don’t like them. I don’t really like Ketchup so that explain it. But they are popular. :)
