What’s Better, A 2.0 Gpa At Harvard, Or A 4.0 Gpa At The Worst College In The Us?
Also who thinks its unfair that a student with a 4.0 GPA at the worst school in the world has a better chance of getting into grad school than the HARVARD graduate.
And yes, curriculums can be VERY different from school to school. I know one student who failed all his classes at the school I currently go to and got expelled. At his new local university, he is currently getting As and Bs.
I Am Learning French. What Dance, House, Dubstep, Dnb Music Has French Lyrics To Help Me Learn?
I’m learning French at university and using Busuu.com.
What dance, house, dubstep and Drum and Bass music has good french lyrics. Preferably female.
I prefer Dubstep as its my favourite genre but as long as there is a lot of female vocals in French and a big bassline, I don’t care what it is.
Merci.
Why Do People Deny We Are In A Sh!tty Economy?
I am a personal trainer and everyone says economy is getting better yet wherever I apply no one hires and all schools and universities are enticing me to take more courses so i will be FQ$@ing more marketable….
What Should I Do To Higher My Odds Of Getting Into Cambridge University?
I know the entrance requirements, and I am expected to shatter them easily grade wise, but I KNOW for a fact, that grades alone aren’t enough. What should I do to higher my odds. I’d do anything.
I Can Only Work Under Pressure, How Can I Fix This?
I’m in grade 11 and my parents call me a procrastinator, I get good marks, but feel i can do even better. I will wait ’till late night on the last day possible to do most of my assignments. It’s the worst for longer written assignments as I get a complete mental block, also being on computers and having the internet as a distraction doesn’t help.
I know I can do it because when writing essay’s in class when time is very limited I can easily write. While at home it will take hours to write simple assignments.
It doesn’t help that Universities don’t look much at grade 9-11 marks, but focus entirely on grade 12, so right now i have no motivation to succeed…
I’m afraid that I will keep this habit in University which is bad because I’m sure assignments in University can’t be done in one sitting last minute….
Gcse English Language?
I know you can’t really revise for it but I know I can pick up some tips. I’ve never really been able to get A’s and B’s in Language, I can in Literature but never in language.
I’m doing my GCSE next week in Language and I really need some advice for getting a B and possibly an A, because I heard its one of the subjects Universities look for the most.
Can someone who does well in language give me some help and tips, because I really want to get a good grade in it :/ the worst part is that I don’t know where I am going wrong!
Thanks a lot
and by the way I have asked my English teacher but they tend to go on and on and it really just confuses me more.
Realistic College Options?
My school doesn’t “do” the rank system, we’ve decided to knock Valedictorian and Salutatorian, and we do not use a four point grading scale. However, here is what I can tell you:
-Cellist since fourth grade, participating in school orchestra (first stand for two years)
-Full IB Diploma
-96% average as a freshman, 97% as a soph, and jr.
-Spent one to three weeks every summer at a local university (summer programs for high school aged kids)
-Key Club, Bio Club (Leader), Medical Explorers, NHS, Yearbook, Mentor Program (for incoming freshmen), Spanish Club (Leader)
-Work experience containing 60+ hours/summer at the town hall, and other areas around town (beginning after eighth grade), various part time jobs throughout high school (beginning during 10th grade)
-350+ volunteer hours (70+ at the local library)
-SAT: 770 Reading, 770 Math, 790 Writing
-Freshman football, otherwise little to no sports experience
I’m also a first generation college student (no one in my family has any kind of college experience), so this is very new to everyone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My family makes under 60k/year, and my parents are separated. I know many top schools offer generous financial aide packages, but would I be able to get into any of the schools that could offer me a lot?
Basically, what are some sensible colleges to apply to? I’m also looking for a couple reach schools (my top choice is Cornell), and one or two schools to fall back on. I plan on majoring in Biology or a related field, although I am very interested in Philosophy as well.
For example, a school that is somewhat near me is the University of Rochester. This is a pretty good school, and I’m wondering where it would fall on my list (reach, sensible, fall back). Thanks to anyone who helps; I will respond to best/good answers.
