How Are Mechanical And Nuclear Engineering Related?

How are Nuclear Engineering and Mechanical Engineering related?
My university started offering a Nuclear Engineering minor a few years ago, and have really encouraged Mechanical Engineering majors to take advantage of it, since most of the requirements for the minor are already met through the course work for the major. I’ve done some research and learned that other universities also offer the NE minor to their ME majors. How are the two related and how beneficial would it be to pursue the minor in NE?
